Though out all of the meetings of the Bay Area Dragons, we have been successful in having enough people to participate in the club. I remember, before the first meeting, we were all nervous about how many people would come, who would help us if there were too many people, etc. But thankfully, an ok amount of people came, and we had the help of the adult clubs headed by Dave Anderson. After that, everything calmed down and went smoothly to make the club we all see now! Thanks for everybody's support, especially Dave and Tom!

Our adviser Dave had to leave the club due to time problems, and we are very sad about that. But now, we have a new advisor that Dave introduced to us:Tom! He's really awesome. Our chairman and several of the club leaders had a little meeting... We decided to not only let you guys to have fun going on different vacations, but also let us get ready for the nationals! Our club will be back in August, around the time when school starts. Wish the best of luck to all incoming elementary, middle, high, and college students!
ps. I will be posting some of the pictures from the nationals this year, so be aware!~ pss. We will be move the egg plane contest to October due to the fact that many weren't at the meeting during summer. psss. Hope to see all at the upcoming meeting! We had around 15 kids who joined our club, mostly new! We want all of you to know that this is club is welcomed to EVERYONE! Although it is for everyone, we are not baby sitters for parents just to drop the kids off and leave. So, please! Stay with your kids and also help them throughout the process! It is fun!
We do also recommend buying your own kits! We thank everyone for coming! This is a club for making plastic models out of kits. Building models offers several advantages to young people. It teaches them to analyze and follow detailed instructions, as well as develop problem-solving skills. Manipulation of a three dimensional object also imparts knowledge and skills that are not the same as the experience gained in looking at or designing something on a computer. It is also an artistic the hobbyist’s exploration of the intricacies of science and technology down through the ages.
